as i was blow-drying
my hair with the duck
dryer today, i noticed
that i am breaking out.
which reminded me
of the movie "basquiat."
i recently watched
basquiat, and while
i surely enjoyed the
film, i couldn't help
but notice that the
film seemed to focus
on his zits.
andy warhol even
brought it up.
in one scene,
jean-michel can even
be spotted
popping them
in a upscale
manhattan restaurant.
i imagine that the director
felt that to marginalize
his acne would be to
disregard his legacy.
i guess his acne
problems are, indeed,
part of his persona
as an artist...
and.... yes,
as a human being.
